About

This blog is a place for me to share some of the creative lessons I have used with my 6th and 7th grade Title I math classes. I am a firm believer in project-based learning, and my teaching style reflects that. My classroom is centered around 8 "poster projects." The poster projects cover all classroom material up until the time of the poster, and require student explanations. Although my class is built around the poster projects, we use technology on a near daily basis for other assignments as well. This blog will showcase both the poster projects and the daily assignments, along with any other meaningful information or helpful tips.

As a Title teacher, I am lucky enough to have numerous resources that most regular ed. teachers do not. I have a class set of iPads and a class set of laptops; Nooks and Netbooks are available, should I need them, and my classroom is equipped with four standard desktop computers. Even with the technology available, my students are still able to bring their own technology everyday if they prefer their devices over mine.
